Racetime NZ originally born from the concepts of providing simple race timing for sports clubs and small events, Racetime NZ has evolved into a full professional sports timing services catering for its original small events to large scale events with 1000s of participants, from our local sports clubs to international live production events.

Racetime NZ is owned and lead by myself Sam Thompson, after 15 years as a professional Endurnace coach I seen a opportunity to be involved in the other aspects of competitive sports, enjoying the data and technology aspects, timing events become a progression from my coaching role. Timing events also became a way to be more involved in the events and athletes I was coaching. Our sports timing company was born and We started specifically timing Mountain bike events with Downhill, Enduro and XC providing providing timing concepts from what we had experienced overseas at the worlds biggest events like World Cups and World Championships. Racetime NZ has now progressed to timing other events from running, cycling, multisport and anything that needs accurate timing. .

After traveling the world for 10+ years as a Mountain bike coach and manager, I got to experience what the best technology for timing events was, after extensive testing different equipment and research we decided to invest in Raceresult Timing Equipment for our timing company, with RaceResult being one of the world leaders in Sports timing equipment and software .
